Golan Heights leaders welcomed the rains which have begun and hope they are a portent for more precipitation.
Rabbi Yehoshua Van Dyke, rabbi of Ramat Magshimim, told Arutz Sheva that the Golan Heights farmers are emissaries of all of Israel and asked every person to have them in mind during daily prayers for rain.
He added that the Golan's reservoirs are nearly empty and farmers are praying and imploring for rain to fill them.
