Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon said that Israel's budget surplus will be given back to its citizens.
"Our plan is to return the money to the public, to young couples and the middle class in a responsible manner. Our economy is in excellent shape and I expect our debt to fall next year as well. Israel's debt is low, and when the debt is low, it is possible to invest in civilians. I prefer to reduce the debt by growing the economy investing the money back into the economy," said Kahlon.
"High taxes are not a guarantee of high income - it's a mistake. You can lower taxes and make more money," continued Kahlon. "Tax revenues will be returned to the public responsibly. We will continue to help young couples and the middle class whose economic burden is the heaviest in the country".
"Our budget for 2019 conveys stability to the world. There are many large multinational companies on their way to Israel. In the coming years we will see a stream of such companies. There are many more companies that want us than those who want to leave."
