The only separate beach operating at the Dead Sea has been closed for renovations, leaving religious and haredi bathers without a place to bathe at the sea.
Numerous people complained to UTJ MK Uri Maklev that the beach was closed without prior warning and no alternative was offered.
Maklev met with Tamar regional head Dov Litwinoff and explained the need for an immediate solution, since many people need to bathe in the sea for health reasons. Litwinoff promised to try and find an alternative beach to be used until the original beach is renovated.
