Treasurer Moshe Kahlon said on Monday that a bill to protect a sitting prime minister from being investigated will not come up for a vote.

Over the weekend, Coalition Chairman David Bitan said that he had arranged with the chairman of the Kulanu party, which opposes the bill, for it to move forward. While the bill comes against the backdrop of corruption investigations involving Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, it does not affect probes that are already under way.
