Minister Naftali Bennett welcomed the explosion of the terrorist tunnel that penetrated Israeli territory.
"This is a serious violation of Israeli sovereignty," Bennett said. "Israel's enemies do not stop trying to harm Israeli citizens."
"The IDF has learned the lessons of [Operation] Protective Edge and is working from intelligence, technological, engineering and operational standpoints in order to thwart these attempts and ensure security for the residents of the Gaza vicinity. The tunnel in question has been neutralized and no longer poses a threat to the residents' security," added Bennett.
