Minister Ze'ev Elkin has told a Sunday-evening demonstration for bypass paving and other security improvements in Judea and Samaria, "I, as the representative of the government, will see to it that your demand is met and that what needs to be done will be done."
Elkin told the thousands in attendance, "This is a very justified demand and it will bring results in the field. Without the determined struggle of the council heads, we would not have reached the result of transferring a budget to the security of the settlers." He added, "The prime minister wants to help the security of the settlers and my job is to bring as soon as possible a cabinet decision and a budget line to bring the tractors to the field, to build the roads and components of security as quickly as possible. This is your right."
