Rabbi Mazuz expresses support for Eli Yishai

The head of the Kisei Rahamim yeshiva, Rabbi Meir Mazuz, has continued to express his support for the head of Yahad party Eli Yishai after Shas rabbis slammed the former Shas leader.

Mazuz said that on the last day that Rabbi Ovadia Yosef was still conscious he had told Yishai: "Rabbi Eliyahu! after 120 years you will be with me in the World to Come." and this proves that Rabbi Yosef considered him to be the true leader of Shas.

Shas leaders reacted sharply to polls issued over the weekend stating that they will not pass the Knesset threshold unless Yishai leads them, accusing Yishai of publicizing biased polls and calling him an ingrate.
