This coming Sunday, the Ministerial Committee on Legislation will consider a bill proposed by Member of Knesset Aliza Lavie (Yesh Atid) and other MKs, seeking to recognize the expenses of the self-employed health insurance for tax purposes.

According to the proposal, the expenses incurred by the self-employed for private health insurance (up to an amount not exceeding 4% of his determining income) will be recognized for tax purposes subject to a ceiling of NIS 260,000 per year.
