Deputy Defense Minister Eli Ben-Dahan(Jewish Home) responded to the Supreme Court decision regarding opening of stores on Shabbat.
The court has presumed the authority to rule on matters that public representatives and MK's are interested in slowly dealing with. Once again the Supreme Court makes ethical decisions which are in contrast to the will of the people and its representatives. There is no option but to legislate a law cancelling the ruling and leaving the authority in the hands of the nation's representatives."
