The head of the Knesset House Committee, MK Yoav Kisch, sharply criticized Knesset legal advisor Eyal Yinnon due to an opinion issued by Yinnon stating that the Knesset has no authority to establish a parliamentary committee of enquiry regarding foreign funding of left-wing anti-IDF organizations.
Kisch said that "this is a dangerous precedent which cannot be allowed to pass. The right to establish a committee is in the hands of the Knesset and this authority is irrespective of the matter being investigated and is part of the basic law of the Knesset."
