A note written by Albert Einstein to a Tokyo bellboy in 1922 describing his theory on happiness sold at a Jerusalem auction house Tuesday for 1.56 million dollars, some 300 times its estimated value, according to a report by Maariv.
Einstein did not have a tip for the bellboy so instead wrote him a note in German stating that " tranquil, modest life brings more happiness than chasing success which involves continuous disquiet."
Another note on which Einstein had written "Where there's a will there's a way" sold for $240,000.
