The Megilot rescue team was summoned to extricate a 40-year-old cyclist suffering from dehydration in the region of Mitzpeh Shalem on the northern Dead Sea.
The cyclist had travelled from Jerusalem towards the Dead Sea with little water and no battery left on his cellphone.
The cyclist managed to locate a local Bedouin who gave him a little water and a phone to summon help.
