The Secular Forum Association submitted a petition to the Supreme Court for a restraining order regarding the chapters in the school sylabbus referring to the murder of Yitzhak Rabin, claiming that they are 'biased and distort reality.'
The petition was signed by MKs Omer Bar-Lev(Zionist Union) and Tamar Zandberg(Meretz) as well as other prominent public figures. The petitioners claim that "pupils in the state system will study a false and deceptive depiction of events which will intentionally hide from them the religious-messianic background which led to the murder, as well as those who acted to incite and cause the assassination of the late prime minister."
