State Prosecutor Shai Nitzan referred to the law that seeks to prohibit the investigation of an acting prime minister.
In a commentary column published on the 929 website, Nitzan wrote that "granting the possibility of an incumbent president or any other leader to continue his term of office while ignoring real criminal suspicions against him would harm the state, its dignity and its status, and it would also harm the dignity and status of the public figure."
