Military Police opened an investigation regarding alleged improprieties in the receipt of services from a civilian supplier during 2012-2013.

The investigation was coordinated with Israel police, since it concerned both the army and a civilian company. A number of civilians and IDF personnel have been arrested in the wake of the investigation.

Northern Command chief of staff, Brig.-Gen. Asher Ben-Lulu, ordered the 14-day suspension of an officer on suspicion of offenses related to the investigation.

More punitive steps will be taken against other persons involved as the investigation develops.
