A legal suit was submitted against Facebook in the Herzliya Magistrates Court by an Israeli company named Troyam Miller, claiming that the social media giant had caused it significant business losses by not complying with its request.
The company, which initiates fashion and lifestyle fairs, had asked Facebook, which is their main advertising medium, to combine their four Facebook pages into one and Facebook approved the request.
However after the merging the company discovered that its advertisements were not reaching its 42,000 followers and as a result its fairs suffered from poor visitor participation.
The company claims that it was assured by Facebook that it would not suffer loss of publicity as a result of merging the pages and in the event it suffered significant losses.
