The Supreme Planning Council of the Civil Administration for Judea and Samaria has approved the submission of a plan for Plot 91 as part of a temporary solution for the Netiv Avot neighborhood, between the Judean Jewish communities of Elazar and Alon Shvut, where houses face demolition by March over issues regarding a small swath of land. The council approved the submission of a plan for 17 temporary housing units (for 3 years) as another part of the solution. The plot will be added to the jurisdiction of Alon Shvut in the future.
Neighborhood residents have rejected the proposal as "insufficient", saying it "proves once again the government's helplessness vis-a-vis extreme left-wing organizations that abuse the judicial system in order to realize their political aspirations." They continued, "We call upon Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Minister of Education Naftali Bennett, and cabinet ministers and MKs not to repeat the mistakes of the past in Migron, Amona, Ofra and Beit El, to recover at the last moment and to stop dragging their feet in an attempt to present a solution to the path of the Patriarchs "The root of the problem must be dealt with and a comprehensive solution be found for the neighborhood of Nativ Ha'avot and to prevent the unnecessary destruction and until then enact a law that will delay the demolition."
