The "Battle Citation" of the Second Lebanon War was presented on Sunday to the families of eight Israeli Railways employees who were killed by a missile in the Haifa railway station where they worked during the war.

The presentation was made by President Reuven Rivlin at a ceremony held at the President's Residence. In July of this year, it was decided that the Second Lebanon War citation would be awarded to the families of those killed as it was granted to soldiers and other members of the security forces, and that they would be the first civilian families to be awarded this award under a new law initiated by Member of Knesset Eyal Ben Reuven (Zionist Union).
