Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat expressed confidence on Sunday that the United States embassy would move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
Responding to President Donald Trump's statement that the embassy would not move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem right now in order to "give a chance" to a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians, Barkat wrote on the Twitter social network, "The transfer of the embassy to Jerusalem is the right thing in every respect, with or without a peace agreement, with no connection, so I'm sure President Trump will keep his promise," Barkat wrote on Twitter.
