Environment Minister Ze'ev Elkin said Sunday that "anybody who sees the payment of salaries to terrorists and the warm embrace that Hamas receives [from the PA] realizes that the last thing we can expect from Mahmoud Abbas is promotion of peace."
Elkin added that "I'm truly sorry that President Trump delayed implementing his campaign promise to move the US embassy to Jerusalem due to a misconception that the present Palestinian leadership could promote peace."
