Jewish students at NYU can expect anti-Semitic waves in October, when the university will host a 10-day run of “The Siege,” an anti-Israel play performed by a Palestinian theater troupe.
The play portrays the Palestinian terrorists who took over Bethlehem’s Church of the Nativity in 2002 as "heroic fighters" and "victims." who were unfairly forced to leave the church grounds.
In reality, the 39 Palestinian terrorists held 46 monks hostage, as well as 200 civilians including children. The terrorists booby-trapped the church, threatening to blow it up. After extensive negotiations 13 were expelled from Israel and the others sent to Gaza. An IDF force defused the charges which would have blown up the church.
