During the course of a traffic police crackdown on motorcycle races taking place on parts of road 20 which have not yet been opened to traffic, 20 motorcycles were seized as well as two electric bicycles and a moped. 14 bikes were taken off the road and their owners were cautioned.
As police entered the site where races were taking place, one of the drivers attempted to flee the scene while driving dangerously. Advance police preparation foiled his escape and he was arrested and taken for investigation by police.
