Monday at midnight marks the deadline to participate in Friday's third Bible Marathon, which will bring runners from around the world for races that end in the Samarian Jewish community of Shilo.
The route, mentioned in the first book of Samuel, is really a half marathon although there will be a full marathon and races of five and 10 kilometers and a 400-meter race as well. Because of the climbing and descending nature of the route, it is described as Israel's most challenging marathon.
