Numerous ministers called on Prime Minister Netanyahu to speed up construction in Hevron.
Environment Minister Zeev Elkin(Likud) called on the prime minister to increase construction in Hevron as a response to Palestinian acceptance to Interpol, while Science Minister Ofir Akunis said that "there is no problem and no reason not to build in all the area of Hevron under Israeli control."
Justice Minister Shaked(Jewish Home) also called to increase Jewish settlement in Hevron in the wake of the UNESCO decision regarding the Cave of the Patriarchs, while Minister of Social Equality Gila Gamliel(Likud) also stressed the "ethical and moral obligation to increase construction in Hevron, the city of our fathers and mothers.
