The Police and Border Police announce with great sorrow the death of Staff Sergeant Solomon Gavria HyD(May his blood be avenged), the border policeman killed in the terror attack in Har Adar Tuesday morning.
A terrorist arrived at the rear gate of the town of Har Adar together with other Palestinian workers entering the town with work permits. The terrorist aroused the suspicions of security guards at the site and then took out a pistol and opened fire at them. During the shootout 1 Israeli was injured and two security guards and a border policeman were killed.
The alertness of other members of the team and the local security officer led to the elimination of the terrorist(a 37-year-old resident of Beit Sourik) and to the conclusion of the attack.
Staff Sergeant Solomon Gavria, a resident of Beer Yaakov, was 20 years old at his death. He enlisted a half a year ago and in his last role served as a combat soldier in the Jerusalem corridor. He leaves parents, two sisters and a brother.
