The terrorist who perpetrated the attack at Har Adar was a 37-year-old father of 4, a resident of the village of Beit Sourik with an Israeli work permit.
The terrorist was suspected even before he arrived at the checkpoint at the entrance to Beit Sourik. Security forces ordered him to stop at which point he opened his shirt, took out a pistol and fired at short range at the security guards and soldiers.
