The Zionist Union and Yesh Atid parties will boycott Wednesday evening's state event marking 50 years of Jewish settlement in Judea and Samaria, the Jordan Valley and the Golan, according to Israeli public television.
According to the report, Labor Party sources claimed that if their presence was wanted, the party chairman or opposition leader would be invited to give an official speech at the event. At the same time, criticism was voiced against Labor Chairman Avi Gabbay, who did not instruct the faction members to be absent from official instruction. Despite the decision, Yesh Atid Member of Knesset Haim Jelin will attend the event.
