Dozens of disabled persons blocked traffic Sunday morning on the Southbound Ayalon freeway.
Traffic police reported that the Glilot intersection has been blocked and traffic is being diverted to road 5. The Herzliya (Seven Stars) junction is also being blocked.
The disabled have been conducting numerous traffic blocks around the country, demanding that their disability pensions be raised to the minimum wage. A government-sponsored committee has recommended that the pensions be raised to a lower level and that a differential method be used to allocate pensions.
