The prosecution has appealed to a district court against the decision of the Parole Board, which ordered the immediate release of Zvi Gur, who was convicted in 1980 of the kidnap and murder of eight-year-old Oron Yarden and has served 37 years of a 45-year sentence.
The release is subject to a series of restrictions. In the petition, the court is being requested to cancel the decision of the parole board - and until then to delay the execution of the release.
