Former Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki has expressed his opposition to the referendum on independence which is expected to take place on September 25th in the Kurdish region. Following a meeting with United States Ambassador Douglas Silliman, Al-Maliki said, "We will not allow the creation of a second Israel in the north of Iraq."
