Professor Eugene Kontorovich of the Kohelet Policy Forum has written on behalf of the Israeli Marathon Association to the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) arguing against the rescinding of the Bible Marathon's membership because of claims that the race went beyond the boundaries of the State of Israel and therefore was a violation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334. Citing parallel situations, the Professor of International Law at Northwestern University explained, “There is no international law that prohibits running the route of the world’s oldest race because it finishes in Ancient Shiloh. You can’t have one international law for Israel and another for the rest of the world. By definition international law applies to everybody.”
