Police arrested an importer of food supplements for sportsmen as well as a supervisor of sensitive foods at the Ashdod port on suspicion of bribery, corruption and breach of trust.
The importer allegedly imported food supplements in order to market to sportsmen and attempted to smuggle them into Israel without Health Ministry supervision by bribing the supervisor at the Ashdod port so that she would not do her duty and perform the necessary examinations.
