One out of six female soldiers reparted that she was sexually harassed during the course of her service according to an internal survey conducted by the IDF among thousands of female soldiers and officers in 2016.
The Haaretz newspaper which published results from the survey Sunday stated that many of the soldiers stated that they were harassed more than once.
Another disturbing result of the survey was the answer to the question of what the feeling is in the various units. 60% of female soldiers said that there was a "sexual harassment climate" in their units, with officers and soldiers repeatedly making lewd jokes and insulting sexual comments or distributing pornographic pictures.
