(JTA) — The Students for Justice in Palestine chapter at the University of California, Irvine said Friday it would appeal the two academic years disciplinary probation announced last month for disrupting a pro-Israel event held on campus. The appeal process is expected to take several weeks.
In addition to the two years of probation, the campus group must hold six meetings a year to discuss free speech, and adhere to a requirement to meet with university administrators two weeks before hosting any event.
