Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit informed MK Oren Hazan (Likud), the Knesset Speaker and the Knesset House Committee Chairman, that he had decided to indict MK Hazan for assaulting a public servant, insulting a public servant, and improper behavior in a public place.
The Attorney General's decision was made in accordance with the recommendation of the State Attorney, and after the arguments of MK Hazan were rejected at a hearing held for him.
In accordance with the provisions of section 4 (a) (2) of the MK Immunity Law, MK Hazan has 30 days to request that the Knesset determine that has immunity from criminal proceedings in relation to the indictment.
