Three nurses and a social worker announced today that they are leaving the Juvenile Hemato-Oncology Department at Hadassah Medical Center, according to Channel 2 Television. So far, nine doctors, 15 nurses and two social workers have left in a dispute with management.

The result of the dropout wave is that most of the children with cancer have been transferred to Ichilov, Schneider and Sheba hospitals. The parents of the patients say there is currently no solution for children with cancer in Jerusalem and they continue to demand the opening of a department at Shaare Zedek Hospital. Hadassah Hospital said in response, "To date, 19 nurses have been recruited to the ward, a significantly larger number than those who left, and the department is fully operational. As for the social worker, her request to move to another department was answered and replaced by an old social worker who had filled this position for years in the past."
