Authorities in Frankfurt and Koblenz on Saturday evacuated a total of 90,000 people from the two cities.
Ordnance experts defused the bomb in Koblenz on Saturday, and Frankfurt's is scheduled to be defused on Sunday.
The Frankfurt bomb weighs 1.8 tons and contains 1,300 kg of explosives.
