MK Bezalel Smotrich (Jewish Home) on Thursday sent a letter to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in response to his intention to approve soccer games on Shabbat.
“This industry is funded by millions of shekels from the defense budget and its operation on Shabbat forces the entire Jewish people to participate in the desecration of the Sabbath, and this is unacceptable,” wrote Smotrich.
