The B'tzedek organization, which has petitioned against the legality of "the Reform Wall", has questioned the impartiality of Supreme Court justices hearing petitions by the Reform and Conservative movements against the government's freezing of a mixed-gender prayer area at the Western Wall of the Temple in Jerusalem.
The organization said, in a statement, "Two of the three Supreme Court judges who discussed the petition worked in the past with the Reform Movement, but [Supreme Court President Miriam] Naor did not think that this was a good enough reason to replace them with other judges. We very much hope that these facts will not affect their decision for the Reform and against the Israeli government and the Chief Rabbinate of Israel."
