Palestinian Authority spokesman Nabil Abu-Rudeina spoke out on Tuesday against Knesset members going up to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's remarks Monday evening that there will be no more uprooting of Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria, according to Channel 10 Television.

Referring to the Temple Mount, Abu-Rudeina warned against "Israeli provocations in Al-Aqsa," saying that these would lead to grave consequences "in which the Israeli government will alone bear the responsibility." He said that "the settlements in the territories occupied in 1967, especially East Jerusalem, are illegal and will eventually disappear."

The spokesman called for an immediate halt to "all measures that harm the feelings of the believers in the holy places," adding, "The Israeli measures are a message to the American administration, which sent a high-ranking delegation to the region to try to save the peace process." He said that the American administration should act against these provocations as they sabotage the administration's efforts and return the situation to the zero-point and to a dangerous stage."
