Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday spoke with U.S. Defense Secretary James Mattis, and told him he was dissatisfied with U.S. support for the Kurdish militias, sources close to Erdogan said.
Erdogan considers the Kurdish militias to be terrorist groups, and earlier this week threatened to thwart any initiative to establish a Kurdish state in northern Syria.
