6 people were injured in a head-on collision near Almog junction at the Dead Sea. One person was critically injured and 3 others suffered serious injuries. Two other people were lightly injured.
The wounded people were transferred to hospital by helicopter. The road is closed in both directions from Almog junction to Arava junction.
