Spanish police have confirmed the Younes Abouyaaqoub, the driver of the van responsible for 14 deaths and the wounding of 130 people last Thursday in Barcelona, has been shot to death by security forces in Subirats, 30 miles west of the city.
Abouyaaqoub was wearing an explosives vest. Police used bomb-squad robots to get closer to the body.
