Minister Gilad Erdan has expressed support for Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in light of recent developments in criminal investigations where Netanyahu's name has come up. Erdan said on Sunday, "The prime minister is leading the state of Israel responsibly and professionally, and he must be supported despite the political and media campaign against him. The statements that the prime minister is guilty as long as it is not proven otherwise are false statements that have no place in a democratic state."
He continued, "Even though the leftist parties have failed at the ballot box for many years, they must understand that there is no way to circumvent the voters' will by applying unacceptable pressure, and we must all rely on the attorney general and the law enforcement authorities who are doing their job faithfully."
