The heads of the National Union party, led by Agricultural Minister Uri Ariel, toured Jerusalem Sunday and heard harsh claims of discrimination against the Religious Zionist community by the Jerusalem Municipality with regard to the allocation of public buildings.
In particular the participants were irked by the new neighborhood arrangement devised by Jerusalem mayor Nir Barkat to allocate educational institutions based on sectorial divisions, which favors the haredi public as opposed to the Religious Zionist public, and has caused the closure of a number of National Religious schools.
