Jerusalem Law passes initial reading

The Jerusalem Bill requiring a special majority of 80 MKs to approve any concessions in Jerusalem has passed its initial reading in the Knesset.

The law was proposed by Jewish Home leader and Education Minister Naftali Bennett and MK Shuli Mualem-Rafaeli placed it in the plenum.

58 Mks voted in favor of the law and 48 opposed it.
