Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely said that "the decision to close Temple Mount to Jews is a mistake. These are days when we must strengthen our hold on the Mount and emphasize that Jewish sovereignty is not weakened by threats.
"Its unthinkable that in the holiest place to the Jewish nation, Jews should feel that their status is less than that of tourists. The District Commander must allow Jews to ascend to Temple Mount."
