Attorney-General Avichai Mandelblit and State Prosecutor Shai Nitzan referred Tuesday in a special announcement to the matter of adoptions by same-sex couples.
The two said that "we must distinguish between our personal opinions on social and ethical issues and our professional obligation as attorneys to bring the state's opinion before the court, and this requires the full factual picture including the opinions of professional elements."
