The leader of the Arab Higher Monitoring Committee in Israel, former MK Mohammed Barakeh, expressed sharp criticism over the government's response to the Temple Mount attack.

"The attack is obviously unacceptable, but those who wish to fan the flames on Temple Mount are the right wing," Barakeh said on Army Radio, adding that he is "concerned they will use the attack to incite against the Arab public. The extreme right-wing government headed by Netanyahu thrives on such events."
