A Tel Aviv insurance agent has been arrested on suspicion of fictitiously reporting huge expenses including fictitious salaries. The false reporting amounted to some 5.5 million NIS.
The agent opened his office in Ashdod on 1995. From 2009-2015 the suspect allegedly claimed 1 million NIS a year in fictitious expenses.
The agent also allegedly forged checks to present the salaries he paid workers who did not work with him.
The Jerusalem Magistrates Court released the agent on bail with restrictions.
